Street parking is available on Congress Street and adjacent side streets. There are more than 200 spaces available within a 10 minute walk. You may also park at the following businesses: George’s Auto, The Cookie Factory, or The Greenhouse after 5 PM. Please check our Parking Map Guide.
Yes and No. There is a ramp entrance to the Sanctuary, to bring in equipment or attend events. There is a gentle slope to the basement level where the kitchen and community hall are located. The bathroom is located in between two levels with a sets of stairs from either space. There is a chairlift to reach the bathroom from the basement community hall; however the Sanctuary does not have an accessible bathroom without leaving the building utilizing the chairlift from the community hall.
Mount Ida Preservation Hall is a historic former Episcopal church (built in 1869) located in the Mount Ida neighborhood of Troy, NY. It now serves as a community and performing arts center, operated by the nonprofit Mount Ida Preservation Association. Read more about the history here:
Please visit our Rent the Hall page for rental information, pricing, and availability. Submit an event request utilizing the calendar to determine availability. We’ll respond to the email you’ve provided in your request to confirm your booking, or clarify any questions about your event! You’ll want to book 90 days + in advance, especially on a weekend as our dates fill with events quickly.
We host concerts, weddings, community meetings, workshops, art shows, fundraisers, and more. The main sanctuary can host 200 + people, and the basement community hall includes a full kitchen and flexible layout.
Yes! We regularly host public performances, Sunday Brunches, art exhibitions, and more. Check our Events Page or follow us on social media for updates.
Yes, the building is heated. We do not currently have AC, we do not recommend booking the Sanctuary in the summer months. The Community Hall tends to remain cool all year, as the walls are underground.
